I just wanted to post a quick "thank you" to everyone on here who has added instructions for all of us to help us learn things. In the last 30 minutes I learned how to import and trace into Inkscape. I also learned how to shadow! I tried welding and need more practice but that's not something I wanted really bad so I'll just wait until I really need it. I wanted to know how to shadow though! That was my #1 and now I can do it! And it's so easy!
So thank you so much everyone for taking the time to share your knowledge.

the more you use Inkscape the more you'll love it and keep pinching yourself to know that a program that has helped us cutter people so much over the last two years can still be free.
The basic weld, making mats etc is very easy.
I have a couple of tuts on the Paperthreads forum showing you how to create your own designs by welding shapes together - fun stuff !
