I wanted to make a Halloween Sign with vinyl and tile. I decided to paint a 18x18 tile a Halloween Orange and then add the vinyl and it worked great! Originally I was going to make this an outdoor sign and afraid of the winter elements that we typically receive in October I decided to use a clear urethane (I think that's what it was) finish so snow or anything wouldn't reak havoc on the tile.
After finishing the tile I was afraid that maybe someone would walk away with it if I left it outside so now it's displayed inside my front and I'm working on a much bigger sign for the front of the house that I will attach to the railing. But, the clear gloss that the urethane provided really brought out all of the characteristics of the tile and made it very glossy - I love the effect it gave!

Re: Halloween Tile
Cindy,
I thought this was so cute, I visited your blog. You have some genuinely cute stuff on there! Loved lots of your wall vinyl and the 10 commandments for Kids. Great job on the Halloween tile.
