Two Cricuts, 1 computer, can SCAL print to either one?

I have a Cricut Create, seriously thinking about buying an Expression but wondering if I connect the Expression to my pc and keep the Create connected can I run SCAL and tell it where to print?

Good Question. I wonder if the drivers will support two Cricuts hooked up at one time.

I just tried this, and it does't really work with both cricuts powered up. I selected the Expression and it cut to the baby bug. Not a huge surprise, since I know that I have cut with my baby bug after cutting with the E and forgot to change the machine/firmware settings.

There isn't any reason why you can't leave both machines hooked up, but only power up the one that you want to cut with. HTH

I'm wondering if you could have two SCAL's open, each one set for its respective Cricut, and cut simultaneously? Or would you still run into problems?

Maybe Heather will chime back in with her findings of the 2 SCAL's Open..I'm a computer geek and Multi-Cutting (version of Multitasking...LOL) would be kind of a neat trick...not really useful unless you have an Expression Farm and decide to cut on all of them at the same time...I believe Todd had an order and if he was able to use and Expression Farm would have cut his cutting time in half or more...just an idea..

I have both cricuts put away right now so I can't test it, but I don't think having more than one SCAL running would help since the cricuts are connected as generic USB serial devices (or something like that). I know that I have cut with my baby bug using the E settings ('cause I forgot to change it ) so the settings aren't necessarily machine specific, just variations in how they communicate.

I have two E's and it would be great if this would work. I just wonder if the E's communicate back and forth with the computer like printers do?

I connected both of my E's to my laptop. SCAL only sends information to one at a time. I opened up SCAL again and when I sent it to cut, it went to the last Cricut that cut. If I disconnect one then it switches to the other one.

I have been trying to find the answer to the "2 Cricut" Question, and reading through this...I'm getting that...

the answer NO, you cannot use 2 cricuts with one computor with 1 SCAL? Is this correct?
I have a huge order of decals to fill by Friday and this would be a great option. I have a friend who has never had her cricut out of the box!!! She said I could break it in....

Hit up that friend to help you. That's what I did, she bought SCAL, brought over her laptop and Cricut and now she's as hooked as I am. Plus I had someone to help weed which is always good.
