Can someone please help me?

I am trying to create a Monogram, using a Floral Scroll Frame and placing a letter on top. Do I need to do this in Inkscape or is it possible to do it in SCAL 2? I have already created and saved the Floral Scroll Frame as an .svg. I want to simply place the letter P, in Times New Roman on top of it. Hope this makes sense. TIA!!
