I created an this SVG in inkscape, however when I import it into SCAL2 it the size and postion are:
X: 10416.66 Y:10416.66 Inch
W: -10416.66 H: -10416.66 Inch
Any ideas as to why this is happening. I drew it with the free hand pencil. I have tried applying different paths.......but I am still at a loss.

I'm not sure what exactly is happening with your original file, but all I did was copy your path in the original file and paste it into a new inkscape file and it worked in SCAL2. HTH

Thanks so much!

Re: Inkscape SVG to SCAL?
I would guess that you are using Inkscape 0.47. Something just gets messed up with the file code, especially if you use the Path Effects Editor. Try selecting your artwork, then copy and paste into a new document. HTH

Re: Inkscape SVG to SCAL?
Ungroup everything until no more Groups are listed, Control A to confirm no more Groups. Do Path/Union on everything. That worked on my system.
BTW, you have a lot of nodes, and might want to simplify (Control L). If it is too severe, go to File/Inkscape Preferences/Misc and decrease the Simplification threshold until you are happy with the results. The more nodes, the lower you will want this number...I usually use between 1 and 4. HTH
