Due to potential copyright infringement I have decided to remove these files as I don't want to cause any problems for this wonderful forum. I will however post a pic of the finished cutting so you can see how it turned out in the end.
Thank you Wreed and LowCarbGirl for tactfully wording your explanations.
Famous Piano Player
Re: Famous Piano Player
Great!!! My son has been taking piano lessons and we just splurged and bought a beautiful piano. So this is a wonderful find for me. the only thing when I went to view it it was so large. How do I make it smaller?
Re: Famous Piano Player
Adrian, which file are you looking at - the svg one? If you are using Inkscape to view, click on the icon shown in red square and it will show whole pic.

This is great!!!!!
Re: Famous Piano Player
Word of caution - be careful about uploading copyrighted images or other material on these forums.
Re: Famous Piano Player
Wreed, do you mean the picture above or the scut files and svg files? I made the cut files from a font but the picture I posted to view was from the internet. I'll remove the pic if you think that is where the problem is. The font pic is exactly the same as the pic from the internet.
Just not sure what you are cautioning about... is it ok to share the .svg and .scut files we've made??
Now I'm confused and disheartened about sharing.

Marly,
I think what Wreed was warning you about, when we signed up to us the board and read the license agreement to the site we agreed to not post copy writed materials. That includes anything from dingbats, fonts, or clipart. All published cartoons such as Peanuts (and all others) are copywrited and many things that we download from others blogs is covered by a copywrite as well (they give their permission for personal use only.)
If we download clipart and then make it using SCAL it must be for our own use and we can not sell it or publish it in anyway.
I personally don't have a problem with sharing such cut files, pics, etc.... but others might.
I had made a Bugs Bunny that I was so proud of but was warned not to post it so I didn't but I really wanted to share him.
I am sure Wreed doesn't want you or anyone else to get into trouble because of copywrite infringment. I am sure he/she didn't mean to come across strong.

Marly, I don't mean to confuse you. The forum does have a policy that no copyrighted material is to be posted on the boards. We have had a lot of discussion about this in the past, partly because work done by some people on these boards were being spread around without permission. To my knowledge, there is no problem sharing a picture to show the end result of what we did with an image, but sharing the actual file or one that we modified from the original would be subject to the originator's copyright policy. I don't want to make an issue, just suggesting that copyright policies be upheld.
