Cropping in SCAL

Post by kgator »

Does anyone know if you can crop an image in SCAL? Or maybe even just erase parts of it that you don't want?

I just lay a square over what I don't want and go Path Back minus Front. Then if I have to go a tad more I use the nodes tool.
Or, you can just use the nodes tool and drag a box around what you don't want and the nodes turn blue and hit the delete key on your keyboard.

Thanks! You guys are lifesavers! And so knowledgeable!

Another question you might know the answer to... is there anyway to get images from Cricut cartridges into SCAL?

There is no reason to do that because there are so many wonderful .svg and .scut files to choose from.

I have a hard time getting my nodes to move/delete. Is there a special way to do this?

Ungroup and Break Apart first. Put a box around the image each time...then the nodes should select easier individually and turn blue before you hit delete on the keyboard or grab and try to move the square node, and the round ones change the arch of the section.
