Design in scal3 and cut with scal2?

Can this still be done if I don't have the latest update to 2, and can't get it. My mom lost everything and I can't request an update. If I can't get an update, should I just buy scal 3? Like everyone sorry soul.. I still have CE

It appears from this post that you can just change the extension from scut3 to scut2 and it works!

Do you know if I didn't the rhinestone part would work? I didn't get the latest version of 2 that had the Rhinestone feature.

Sorry I don't know. I can only assume that if the scal2 version did not have the feature it would not recognize it when loaded from a newer version.

Maybe someone else can help.
