Cricut Craft Room

I was just about to download the Cricut Craft Room when a pop up cam on saying it needed to change my firmware to 1.40. I know my beloved SCAL works only on 1.3 so I stopped the download in the nick of time... My questions: Does anyone know about the Cricut Craft Room? anyone download it and still use SCAL?

good question I have not been invited to use CCR but I hope that is not the case I have a MAC and SCAL 2

You no longer need to be invited to craft room.. The craft room is just like design studio.. You do need your cartridges..

but what about filmware I am not willing to lose SCAL to use CCR also it is still beta testing the actual version does not come out for a few months yet

I have been staying away from Cricut firmware updates of any kind. I just have a feeling that if I downloaded it, that would be the end of SCAL2 for me. When and if my E expires, then I'll be looking at another cutter. So far I'm leaning towards ECraft.
I like my E but I no longer buy any carts either since I rarely use the ones I have and I have quite a few. I just find I like what I find for svg's for SCAL2 more than the carts or even using my Gypsy. I do have files I created on my Gypsy but I tend now to forget about it and use SCAL2. JMHO.

I downloaded the cricut craftroom and haven't had any problems using SCAL..

Are you using the cricut expression and is your scal version 2. I have both and have downloaded the cricut craft room but have yet to cut from it. I to am concerned with scal 2 being affected.
