Stampin Up Punches

Post by TaterTot »

Not sure what to title this. I have an expressions and SCAL 2.0. and graphical software.

It seams to me, instead of investing lots in punches, I could use what I have to create what I want. Now let me see if I can describe this. You know how stampen up has cute little stamps that fit into their punches, and you can use several punches to later these "tags". Seems like I could use SCAL to create the "punch" and any of my graphical software to create the sentiments. Has anyone ever done this? are there files already done? I am just sure, I could not be the only one who thought of this. Any help would be appreciated.

That would be quite easy. For instance, if you want a 2 inch circle, draw the circle, place your image inside and cut both out. I think the order would be important though. Like for instance, if you want a butterfly inside of a circle, cut out the butterfly, then place it back on the mat and cut a circle around it. Is that what you mean?

I have a video on how to make stamp mats with SCAL2. Same idea as what you are talking about except starting with the stamp instead of the "punch" shape.

Many of us also do print and cuts where we print a sentiment with our printer and cut a shape around it. I have a video showing a similar process with gel pens, too.

you can do a search with the item you have in mind and I bet that you'll find it here. This forum is like a treasure island! :D
