Niece playing in World Series softball tournament

Post by annienet »

My niece is playing in Panama City at the world series softball tourney. I am trying to cut this logo for a pin holder for her but I do not know how to break the layers apart to cut the different colors. Here is the logo can anyone do this for me or point me in the direction to do it myself

thanks in advance
Ann

Here is what I came up with. Not sure how the fastpitch words will turn out. Thinking you might have o do something with the individual letters. Hope it works for you.

Thank you!!! I guess I was making it way harder then I needed to. I have been breaking apart and trying to put in layers. What am I doing wrong? I want to cut pruple, white, and green. How do I get the different colors in different layers? I brought the picture in scal and did a trace image. But then couldn't get it in different layers

I did the trace image but used the colors option. Can't remember what my setting was for number of traces (maybe 4 or 5). Then I pulled apart the green and the purple. I assumed the white will be somewhat of a background. If you take the purple and the green and overlay them on a white background, you would have the image. Here is the same image, but with the white base background. I haven't cut it of course, so you would have to give it a try.

Yes...Inkscape but you should be able to bring it into SCAL and cut it.

Yes I will cut in scal. Thank you again. I am just trying to figure out how to do it myself. I hate bothering.

The videos really really help.. Scrappydew.com has a bunch of tutorials as well.. As does papasue, and a few others... Don't give up.. The fun is in learning..
