Help!

Post by ctomkins »

How do you make an image that has different parts into an SVG file? It will not work in Gimp or in Inkscape. I need to find a good tutorial on it. I want to make the different cuts of the image.

If you are asking how to convert an image with different layers the short answer is yes it can be done in Inkscape then use the break apart feature. I build in Inkscape and love it. ONly cut from SCAL. If you are talking about multi images, yes it also can be done in Inkscape. I have Gimp but found it not as friendly as Inscape or SCAL. If I didn't get the jest of your inquiry, please post the image file so someone here can help you. Good luck :)

Here is a link to Scrappydew. Pretty good tuit. You also can google for utubes for SCAL as well as Inkscape

You can use the TRACE to get the outline of the parts in SCAL and then EXPORT and it becomes an .svg
