SCAL and Cricut Bug

I am new here and have been thinking of buying the SCAL software for my bug. I did look at this a while ago and had downloaded the trial version but then I read about the problems associated between the two and now the trial version has expired and I never tried it with my bug.
I however have been rethinking about it and from what I have read on this forum I think that it is possible to link the two as long as I use version 2?? Can someone please clarify this for me I would really appreciate it, I dont really want to spend the money on the program and realise I was wrong.
Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Is your bug working well with the trial?...then you can still purchase here...be sure to upgrade to the latest version with the most recent download too.

PS: I don't think there is a limit as to how often you use the trial...just download and try again.

I downloaded the trial version again and it says that it has expired so I am at a loss.
Anyone - please help xx

I have SCAL 2 and I use it with both my Expressions and my Personal Cricut. It works great with both of them. At this time the only SCAL that won't work with the cricut is the SCAL3. There has been some talk of not being able to use SCAL anymore with the cricut, but as long as you keep the version you purchase and don't upgrade to something new (if that time does come) you should be fine.

Thanks for your replys gj1 and hbicigo. I have decided to take gj1's advice and have emailed the support to see if they can either confirm that the version 2 available will work or if I can get access to the trial version again. Fingers crossed xx

I just bought SCAL 2 and am using it with my Expression. Zero problems! I too had downloaded the trial a long time ago and never really tried it. Then after all the mess between the bug and SCAL I decided I better get busy and decide what to do. My trial no longer worked and I downloaded again, still wouldn't work. I tried FC but that was too hard to use. After reviewing many tuitorials on youtube and looking around at the board here I decided SCAL looked a alot easier to use. SOOOO, I went to the website and bought it. I got the download with the disk to be mailed. Everything has worked perfectly, zero problems. I'm very happy now and am expanding my creativity.
