Video Tutorial - Copy a Box Pattern & adding Score Lines

Post by Craigg64 »

Hi

In a previous post someone was asking for some Wedding Favour boxes. http://forums.surecutsalot.com/viewtopi ... 23&t=20244

I found a design that was not a cut file. So I thought I would put a tutorial together showing how to make it into one.
I also show how to add score lines and saving as a svg.
The score lines i am showing are the perforated type that can get cut at the same time as cutting the outline of the box.
There are other methods described on this forum. I encourage you all to search the forum for "score lines" and see what comes up.

The SVG file export isn't 100% perfect as the perforated score lines are converted back to continuous lines. ;)
Anyway there is nothing wrong saving as a SCAL file anyway. :D

Here are my videos. enjoy.

Cheers

And I have another weird question.
Everytime I make something then save my project it makes the project GIANT and I have to close out the program in order to reopen and use any files. It's so strange!

That happens to me too. Just go up to view and select "fit to window" (actually selecting any of the choices will work). The project will refresh to what it looked like before the save and you're back in business (with a newly saved project). Its much faster than closing out the program and restarting it. HTH.
