I am trying to make a Seder plate for Passover and was unable to find a Hebrew font on SCAL2, so I made a word file with the Hebrew letters and tried first copying and pasting...no go...then I tried importing the word document...no luck there either.
You have to take your word document and save it as a jpeg. The way I have learned to do this is copy the item into paint, and then save as a jpeg. My daughter is usually handy to help me, since I do not do it very often, but if you need more information let me know and I can get better directions. You can than bring the jpeg up in SCAL2 and trace it.
I hope this helps, or someone has another suggestion.
Your best option is to print to pdf. There is a free print to pdf print driver here http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/writer.asp You use this just like a printer, except that it exports a PDF document.
Install the print driver, then open your Word doc and print it to the CutePDF printer. This will give you a vector PDF that you can import into SCAL without needing to trace the text. HTH
Rivka, there is a free font called DAVID, it is the Hebrew alphabet. I can't seem to find it at the moment. Maybe someone else knows which site it is on. Or Google free fonts and look for DAVID.
