I know its been asked before
But I still cant get the gazelle to cut from scal. I have updated to latest version and made sure print outlines has a check mark but then when I go to print and make sure the right printer driver is there and its online I keep getting an error when I hit print. Any suggestions please?
Re: I know its been asked before
Hi, I noticed no one else has replied, and I'm a little curious about the answer. I don't think I can help because I haven't tried to "print" anything yet.
But I did notice that you said in the beginning that you couldn't "cut" the gazelle, then you said you made sure "print outlines" was selected.
So, since I'm fairly new at the scal, I really am wondering if I'm missing something, as far as projects I could be doing.
I am LOVING it and tell everyone I know who owns a cutter or not about it! Good luck, and I hope you get the help you need soon.

Have you tried clicking the message? It does go away and you can start cutting. You might have to click a second message. This is a bug on Window's side and not SCAL. It also does this when I use my Silhouette too when using Inkscape. I know it's really annoying and confusing.
Also over at the Gazelle forum you can found a tutorial how to cut from Illustrator. If you follow that tutorial you should be fine. Also try changing your cut lines to a thinner line in Inkscape.
I know all of this is a workaround and hassle when all you want to do is cut. I was frustrated the first few times too. I just read that Todd is working on a verison of SCAL to work natively with the Gazelle. In a few more weeks there might be an update.
Let me know if this works and then I will try to think of it in steps for you until the update comes out.

Try taking the check off Print Outlines and click on Print, then make sure you select the Cut... (don't remember the full name of the cutter) on the print page. I am at work and don't have the cutter installed only the Funtime software. It was truly a PIB and I only tried it cuz I thought I had lost my dongle.
Doin the Bug...ain't nothin wrong if you wanna do da Bug all nite long...
