SCAL 2 connecting to internet?

It just started a week ago but when I go into SCAL 2 now, it wants to connect to the internet. It never did this before. I don't want Scal communicating on the internet when I am using it. I always click Block and save my answer but it comes up every time I open this program now. Does this happen to anyone else?

I have a laptop with Windows 7, 64 bit.

Do you have SCAL set to automatically check for updates? That's probably why it's trying to go on the internet. My Win 7 laptop always warms me when a program is trying to go on the internet to check for updates. Happens all the time with my Lexmark printer/scanner.

go to properties and un click the automatically check for updates box.

My properties was not set to automatically look for updates.
