Post by gluestick »

I have tried everything to change the color of my text for printing but it doesn't work, stays red. Any suggestions.
Thanks Katie

Stacy, from what you said I assume that you want to PRINT the text in a color of your choice and do whatever with it. If this is the question you can change the color of the text (or any element) by choosing color in the appearance panel,

If you also want to change the "stroke" color see you do that in the layers panel

I couldn't find a specific video but if you choose HELP on SCAL the manual will explain the actions of the appearance and layers options.

If you are just going to CUT than the color is not an issue since you choose the color paper you want and place it on the mat, SCAL doesn't CUT in color, it only PRINTS in color.

Hope this picture helps. If this is not the answer to your question try again to explain what/why you want the color changed.

Good Luck

I'm also new here and don't know a lot. I had this problem, but found that I had not unchecked show outlines only.

Willow, that is a great answer to see what the image will cut like and not have the color distracting you. The coloring in is used most often for designs that have many colors to help you lay out your paper on the mat and keep track of which elements are going to be cut in what colors.

thanks for the additional information. I'm sure it will be helpful to our members.
