Can you cut to the full 12x12 size?

How do you cut to the full 12x12 size? It seems it cuts off anything besides the gray dotted line and won't cut the full mat size (12x12) is that correct?

Yes thats right. Place your image inside the dotted line, not beyond it

you can get 12 inches in one direction by lying to your machine and telling it you are using a 12x24 mat

You can cut a 12in border if you place your border design at a diagonal.
