Anyway, maybe a better trial version would be beneficial.
I am not sure the pressure setting on the Cricut still work when using the software. However, you can make adjustments using the settings on the blade holder. I have used that method many times when using DSS and I didn't want a particular part to cut...setting the blade holder at 1 will not cut anything.Decemberroses wrote:I would have though that too, but I set my pressure on low this second time to just score the letters, so I could see how SCAL worked without making the mess it made the first time. The watermarks still cut pretty deep. When I tried the first time with my setting on medium, they cut two gashes in my mat. Maybe it is my sharp, new blade, but I wish I would have known in advance that that was a possibility.
I totally agree with you. I'd much rather see this as a two-day trial than to have the watermark cut. (Although I guess all I did with the trial version was open it to see what it looked like and then I bought it.)Decemberroses wrote: Can the trial be good for only a few days and then expire like some of the big software guys do? The reason I ask is, how do I know SCAL will be for me unless I cut a test peice?
The pressure on the machine works with the software. I haven't tried changing the pressure on the machine during a cut though others said that does work. I use the highest setting when cutting heavier paper, and dial it down for lighter weights. I find that I can't go too light even on lighter weight papers because it won't cut through.I am not sure the pressure setting on the Cricut still work when using the software.
