HELP ME - 3d Tree - SVG

Post by Candie5601 »

I want to use this 3d tree that I found on this website.
I have downloaded the file and tried to import into SCAL but I don't see anything.

I want to use it to make an Easter Tree. Can someone help me??

I don't see anything either in Scal.
But I found it in Inkscape...exported bitmap and traced in SCAL2, then exported for new .svg that should work.

Yes, something is wrong with the .svg file. I too got a blank image when I imported.

So to save time and angst I copied one of the images (there were two in the file) I copied and pasted one in inkscape and saved. I was able to import into SCAL2.038.

Here is a scut file that will do you. I'll try and figure out the Inkscape problem but at least you have a cut file for SCAL that will work.

This tree is very cool. I have a "real" tree similar to this that I use for Halloween.

Thank you for your help!

I can't use the SCUT2 as I do not have the upgrade. The SVG worked great!.

How can I split the 2 files apart so I can print only 1 at a time, as I want to make the tree larger?

click on them to select them both and at the top click on Object...Ungroup...and you may need to also do Break Apart to delete one of them. Then drag a box around the other to select it and click on Object...Group...then drag the lower right handle and click hold and pull it out larger or go to the Properties Panel and change the width while the Keep Proportions box is checked and it will change the height accordingly. If this does not work for you just say so and I will do it for you.

Thanks! I will do that when I get home tonight.

I am planning on using this tree for an Easter, St. Patrick's, Valentine, etc tree for my office.
