How do I temporarily install a font

Post by wimomof3 »

Can anyone walk me through how to temporarily install fonts? From what I have heard I do not want to install all the fonts on to my computer.

I appreciate all of your patience and repetitive postings for us newbies who know just enough about computers to be dangerous but not enough to be contributors.

Just download to a regular folder. When you want to use that font just open it, minimize it then go to SCAL or whatever program and the font will be visable and usable.

If you would like to make it really easy to preview fonts and keep track of which ones are temporarily installed and such, a font manager program can be really handy! I downloaded one called AMP Font Viewer, and there are other free ones online, too.
