Okay, this might be a really dumb question...but here goes anyway.
I've downloaded quite a lot of fonts now (somewhere in the vicinity of about 3,000), and I'm finding that some are not showing up in SCAL. They are definitely in the fonts file, and I can go into Word and see and use them there, but I cannot get them to show up in SCAL.
Is there perhaps a limit as to how many fonts that will show up in SCAL?
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I've recently acquired on that is absolutely gorgeous and I cannot get it to show up!! Thanks for your help in advance,

Fonts Not Showing Up in SCAL
Re: Fonts Not Showing Up in SCAL
Boy, I don't know the answer to that one. But here's a crazy thought: Move all of the fonts to temporary folder. Copy one or two of the standard fonts you saw in SCAL back into the Fonts folder, such as Arial, New Times Roman, something boring like that. Check that you can see that one or two in SCAL. If you can, move one of the fancy ones into the Fonts folder. Can you see it in SCAL now? If not, maybe SCAL can't use it - try another problem font. If so, start moving your fonts back into the Fonts folder - slowly, like 100 at a time and check that SCAL can still see the fancy font (always use the same font as the control test).

wreed06,
Great idea!
The only other thing I can think of for a font that doesn't show up is to see if you can view it in Inkscape. If so, you can save as an svg (one character at a time, I think) and import the files into SCAL. I'd try wreed06's idea first.
