Adjusting the size of your shadowed letter

I was wondering if you shadow a letter, can you adjust the shadowed letter so you can see a little bit more of the larger letter. It seems my shadow letter is a tiny bit bigger then the original top letter and I would like to see a little bit more of that shadow letter? Does that make sense? Any thoughts?

In SCAL 2 next to the style button is a button to allow you to change the size of the shadow feature. this features comes up when you change the style from normal to one of the shadow options.
