Staying on one mat with SCAL 2.030

I recently downloaded the SCAL update and I've gotten into something that is driving me nuts.

I want to type a bunch of numbers on one mat but not in the same text box. Every time I leave the text box or create another shape it opens yet another page. I don't want that to happen.

What I'm doing is creating 24 circles which will each have a number in them. I will then have SCAL cut the circles (with the numbers turned off or hidden) and then I will put a pen in my machine and draw the numbers on the circles.

EVERY single circle is ending up on its own mat and every number is ending up on its own mat. I tried to put everything into the same box but the space between the items isn't even so they don't line up on top of each other.

HELP!!!! my frustration level is at a crisis point.
