Shadow

Post by plg1117 »

I would like to be able to do a shadow - an automatic shadowing feature would be wonderful - but I would take the more "manual version" like CDS...

One way you can create a shadow effect is to use the cricut ink cartridges. Replace the blade with the ink cartridge, hit cut, and it will draw an outline of your letter or shape. Then put the blade back in, hit cut, and it will cut your letter or shape, and it will be outlined and look like a shadow. The directions come with the ink cartridges and are easy to follow. I got mine at WM for 14.99. They come in a set of 4. Hope this helps :)

This is a good solution temporarily but I do hope they are able to work out a shadow feature.

you can make a shadow/mat in inkscape, save as a svg file & then cut in SCA.

Jancy,

Could you please explain how to do this with Inkscape?
