I have a vision for my 17 month old daughter, I recently lost her on Sept 21 and am trying to do a frame type design for a print. I am just now learning how to use scal so, I am really rusty!
Here is what I envision:
I am going to matte a 5x7 print to an 8x10 frame. I want to try and create an overlay on my cricut that will stencil her name and show the color of the matte. I have attached a picture of what I am looking for and not sure how to create this in SCAL.... Can anyone help me with this please?
Thank you,
Shelly

I am sorry you lost your daughter. I know it has to be tough cuz that is the age of pure "cuteness".
Hope you can use this. I have attached the scut2 and the svg file in case you don't have SCAL2

Awesome, thank you so much. How do I do this myself? Do I need inkscape or something?
Thanks,
Shelly

Re: Newbie Needs help Designing Simple Project
I used INK but you could do it in SCAL2. In INK, I used Break Apart to remove the name from the frame and then changed the dimensions of the frame so the outside would be 8X10 and made the inside 5X7. I left it so you could move the inside if you decided to put the opening off center.
I removed the name because I had to change both H & W but wanted to keep the name proportional.
