I found a great site of papercraft characters called boxpunx. They would be amazing to print & cut, but alas our chosen Cricut does not do print & cut. Fortunately the creator has some "blank" templates. They are available in PDF vector format and with a bit of clean up in Inkscape I was able to create an SVG for cutting.

"Print & cut" is where you print an image on a piece of paper, then put it into your cutting machine and cut it out. The big trick is you need registration marks on the printed image and the cutter needs an "eye" to read the registration marks so everything lines up right. A couple of Cricut's competitors have this feature.

Except from what I've heard and seen, it will still be tied to ProvoCraft content only. And some have reported it doesn't use registration marks. i.e. the cut mechanism is the same as we have now. I've seen a blog post or two that the cutting is not super accurate; we'll see when folks get their hands on them. We'll have to hope CraftEdge or some other enterprising hackers can crack it to print & cut anything we want.
