Basic Shapes

Post by Sancho »

When I choose the rectangle or square from the basic shapes tab in scal 2 they do not cut right. It's like the lines near one of the corners don't meet up right and I end up with a jagged line. Is it just me? Am I doing something wrong? Circles cut great.

Sorry, I thought saying Scal 2 was enough. It is scal 2.011.

Sancho,

Last week just saying SCAL2 probably would have been enough but now that 2.021 is out the world changed a bit.

Can you post a screen capture of the problem. Is the image perhaps too close to the edge of the mat and slightly overlapping the dotted lines?

The problem doesn't show on the screen, it's when I cut. Oh, wait, let me make my picture bigger on the screen and see if it does show. Be back . . .

Even when I zoom in, the rectangles and square look perfect on the screen but they don't cut perfect. I'll cut a rectangle and post the picutre.

If I remember right, 2.011 had some problems. Try updating to 2.021 and see if that one works better. Last I checked, Craft Edge hadn't updated the version documentation, but if you click on the download link it will be for 2.021 instead of 2.012. HTH

I've downloaded 2.024 and I'm still having this problem with the rectangles and the square. Am I the only one ????

What do people use when they want a rectangle or square? Is there one on a font that works.

I do most of my stuff in scal till I learn Ink better. I don't think I have used a square but if I have it was fine,But I do use rectangles and circles quite a bit with no problems
