What do you do....

Post by Ogilvie »

with your die cuts to stop them from looking flat? Do you shade and colour them, do you add jewels and glitter, what else do you do with them? Excuse me for being so downright nosy but I'm a bit of a loss as to what to do with them to make them look at their very best. Janice

I like to use pop-dots underneath them. Sometimes I add a little bling, or staple on a pretty ribbon, or mat (shadow) them, etc. I love Stickles (super thick glitter glue by Ranger). It's addictive and really adds to die cuts, stickers, and such!! Play with those die cuts trying out different things and have fun!

You could also try piecing that many people do in inkscape. That's where you break apart the image and can cut it in different colors. I can't guide you on how to do that, but is a wealth of information in these forums about it - try looking in the Inkscape forum, look through the postings where people have shown their designs and cuts - Designs, SVG are good places to start. Maybe that would give you some ideas. HTH

Hi all,
My favorite is design master spray glitter. I do a lot of Halloween things and a light spray with this glitter makes everything pop. I also like my fiskars embossing plates with some chalk to make things stand out as well.

I save my cereal boxes and then cut them to fit the matt I then cut the design out on the cardboard and cut my design onto my patterned paper. Makes it look like chipboard.
