Why isn't "shadow" working?

I made a title "Welcome" and welded the letters together. It cuts out great except when I try to make a shadow for it. For some reason the "l" gets messed up and all of it doesn't show or cut when I try to make the shadow? Any suggestions? It's happened before but I didn't really need the shadow. Now I do. Thanks for any suggestions.

Did you adjust the numbers in the box on the side ???

I just tried to adjust the number on the side. Every time I increased the number the shadow would have a different letter that would not work. Strange. I'm going to try a different font today to see if that makes a difference. I wouldn't think it should.
