Help With Wine Glasses

I want to vinyl words on wine glasses. I know that my design needs to be a slight concave to go on the glass correctly. I have spent hours today looking at tutorials and playing with word art and trying to design in inkscape. I have had not luck in either one. I have SCAL 1. First of all, if I upgrade to SCAL 2, it is simple to do arches, circles etc in this program. Second I am open to any tips anyone might have to helping me out. I am not illiterate when it comes to the computer but can not seem to get this to work today. VERY FRUSTRATED! Thanks for any help.

I GOT IT!!! After much frustration, I walked away for a while, did some dishes, and came back to try it again! YIPPEE IT WORKS!!!!

I have tried searching, but had no luck. Could you please point me in the direction of the tutorials? I am trying to do some wine glasses with mixed results due to the rounded glass. Thank you so much!
