Can someone help with this one?

Post by lindsnlogansmommy »

I'm sorry to ask again but i can get the skull perfect but the words will not show up for some reason. I just need it in an .svg file. I tried to trace it in but no luck! I wish I was better at this part.

Have you tried break apart trace image skull, and then trace image Text.
then combine the two again?
you might need to open the files twice so you can do each part then paste one into the other.
OR if you have used layers you may need to flatten the image.
I don't know what software you are using .Inkscape or SCAL.

I don't know if it will work as haven't tried just using my own brand of logic.
Sorry if this is no help.
Use a MAC computer running 10.6.7: SCAL v 2.043
If you see someone without a smile give them one of yours!

Never mind, it didn't work. When I go to preview the image it is all just solid red. I need an inkscape tutorial.

Will this one work for you? To trace it in ink, I used path>trace bitmap>edge detection to pull the red letters away from the dark background. Then I used the node tool to delete the skull and cleaned up the letters. They will be an outline, so you will have to use path>break apart to make them soild. This causes two layers, the bottom layer is the one you want and you will have to path>difference to get the centers of the letters a, p, o cut out. I know it sounds complicated, but really it's not. It' only took me maybe 2-3 minutes to do it. :D Hope I haven't confused you...
