Unfortunately the split isn't working in the current MTC version. I like MTC (I own it) but it doesn't have the node editing that SCAL has. It also doesn't have as intuitive of a font interface [I want to be able to type multiple letters on the mat like I do in other programs (word processing and embroidery software)]. I need the more advanced editing and prefer to avoid inkscape (now I normally can with SCAL).

Everytime there is an update, it doesnt work right.Mtc is a dream to learn, and updates are always, forever free...no updates are released unless everything works correctly.
Give it a try you wont be sorry.........

I don't know what MTC is. ????

I wonder why so many of us never have a problem with SCAL freezing and others do. I'm starting to think it's a software conflict with other programs or maybe not enough memory/cpu to handle the newer update features in SCAL.

As a work around, send an email to support@craftedge.com and ask them to send you an older update like 2.08 It seems like the newer updates are the ones that cause the freezing problems on Vista/Windows 7 computers.
