Is anyone else having trouble using the files from Monica's site? They make SCAL and Inkscapes act funny on my computer.

I haven't cut these new cards.. but I haven't ever had any problem in the past. Why do you need to do them in inkscape? There are svg ready to cut in scal.

Oh I see what you mean.. I tried to open the heart fold card and its huge. Needs to be scaled down.

When I opened the svg in SCAL it wouldn't act right.....was extremely slow to respond...couldn't grab and drag....I even had trouble closing SCAL. So I opened it in Inkscapes to see what that would do and it acted the same way. I am puzzled since I do not have this trouble with any other svg files.

In SCAL all you have to do is change your width and height and they will come up just fine. I changed the width to 9.00 inches and the height to 5.00 inches . so import your image and then go to the properties box and change your H and W to what size you want.



You do not have to slowly scroll the numbers down to fit your size. You can just click it .. back space it to clear it and put in your correct size in the appropriate box and there you go. Its ready to cut and fully on the mat. Thank you Lindamac you make this very easy for me and very enjoyable.

I checked some of my previous card files from monica and they seem to open up to w 10.34 H 7.58 So might be a good reference point to sizes as well.
