can i change the default setting for the font size

I am still new at all of this, but one of the things that i find so frustrating is that everytime i type something it is tiny and it always places in the top right corner just off the screen. is there any way to set the font default size and the location of where it starts everytime. It is probably as easy answer but i am use to DS and can't seem to figure it out on scal.

With the text tool selected, there is a Text Properties window that appears where you can select your font. Just below the Bold/Italics/Refresh buttons is the Size box. Set the size that you would like your text, then click inside the virtual mat where you would like the text. Keep in mind that the size is just like your cartridges, it is usually based on the tallest characters, so most letters will be smaller than the size that you set. HTH
