New Video Tutorial

Post by Eddita »

Image

I just uploaded a new tutorial to YouTube. While the original intent is to show how to create the file for another machine, I do show an easy way to make sure any word you cut out of vinyl with a shadow lines up perfectly when you are going to apply it to a wall so that no matter what type of machine you use, you will be able to get some use out of it.

If you go to my blog there is a link for you to be able to get to the video on YouTube and at the same time I also saved the file I used in the tutorial in various formats (including .SVG) which you can download for free. It is the word LOVE as pictured (ignore the red squares you see but they are part of the steps). In any case, just look at column on the left side of my blog and you will see the link and right under that is where you can download the file.

Hope some of you can use it!

Thanks for the link, but did you know that there is a video blip during the most important part of how you line up the squares?

LOL! You know I worked on that video all day and then I noticed the blip this morning when I went to look at it with a fresh set of eyes! It appears I edited that VERY important part out...duh!

I have just finished fixing and tweeking so please go back to my blog and click on the video link to see the "new and improved" as it were.

As I mentioned before, it is specific to a program I work in, but you can easily use the info for any SCAL files you create. In thinking about it, anything you make with a shadow effect for use with vinyl can use the same approach. I hope you found the free file too!
