I posted this on Tips (sorry if it was the wrong place) so I decided I would post here too :0)
I finally got the image seperated into different files but when I import them into SCAL, the images are huge! I am not sure how to fix the problem! any help is appreciated!

In SCAL2, import all of the files into the same page, then use Control A (select all) followed by Control G (Object/Group). Then you can resize all of the files at the same time. Everything that is visible on your virtual mat will cut, so use the eyes in the layers window to hide anything you don't want to cut.
If you used Inkscape to create the files, it's easiest to make the files at the size that you want them since they will import at that size if your SCAL2 default is set to 90dpi. It is also quick and easy to use Control G in Inkscape to create groups that SCAL2 will import into separate layers. That way you only need to import one file, not several. HTH

Ijust figured this out as i was having the same problem, I went to > Object>transform>scale then I just changed the numbers to a size to where it would fit on my mat. Hope that helps.
