I love teddy bears and these are so cute...will be great for putting on a couples' card

question... how do you seperate the colors when making them?

I am probably not understanding what you mean exactly.
But the svg file has the colors separated and grouped together already as it shows in the 2nd jpg.
From what I gather from the ladies on this group they are putting colored pieces of papers aligning them with the grid on the mat with the grid on the screen to know what size etc.
Maybe some one can explain more on the best way to do that, if that is what you are referring to.

You separate the traced shape using Path>Break Apart. Everything will change to the base color ( I have my shapes outlined so I can see them). Select the part you want and click on a color (at the bottom of the screen).
Doin the Bug...ain't nothin wrong if you wanna do da Bug all nite long...
