Snowgirl

Post by Thump2010 »

here is a Snowgirl that I fixed up for my wife.
It is set up to be cut and layered, I moved everything as tightly together as I dare to save on wasted paper since you can't tell SCAL not to cut out something.
Even though I cut the base out of black I did a layer for the hat, nose, and buttons so they can be cut out of a shiny black paper.

Excellant, Thump2010! Thanks for sharing and making it a color version! I am just learning Inkscape and have just recently learned how to 'color' individual pieces of a design.

SunshineSher wrote:When you put the pattern pieces on the mat and save them like that (thank you by the way for the color coding) If you space them just a little more apart, we can put our different paper colors on the mat in box shapes, or rectangle shapes. Because of the closeness of the different change in colors it actually is harder to cut and to place the different colored papers.

did you know you can do that in inkscape? you can move them around to any place your heart desires, then save & import into scal :)

Isn't that the truth! thump2010 is an AWESOME hubby! He's always looking for ways to make things easier and better for me. I'm not very 'technically' minded and he is working wonders with my new Cricut Expressions he got me for our anniversary. He's been scouting the web for cute graphics that we can use on SCAL. Thanks for the compliment you made his day :-) He worked very hard on making my snowgirl 'perfect'.

This will work great for a BOM page I am doing of when we made a snowgirl in college. TFS
