Has anyone noticed that you can only purchase the 6 x 12 cutting mat on line at major stores? I checked WalMart, K-Mart, JoAnn, Target, and Amazon. My last purchase was from Amazon, I went back and check that order, and it it was sold by Amazon, LLC. There is now a "Sign up to alert me when this item becomes available", but it does not say how much and who is selling it, Amazon or an outside seller.
There are 3 other offerings that I could find on Amazon, only one seller has posted a comment: Comments: These hard-to-find 12x12 mats are on backorder at ProvoCraft through 4/08/10. I have a shipment of 45 2-pks arriving on 4/14/10. ORDER NOW and your order will ship as soon as I have them in-hand. Factory sealed, genuine ProvoCraft from authorized ProvoCraft distributor. Fast & secure shipping.
The above seller is selling them on Amazon, at least for now, for $9.29 + 4.99 S/H. The other offerings are $14.95 no S/H, and one that is $44.99 + $11.95 S/H (these must be made of gold!)
I find it quite odd that major stores do not have them listed with a "On back order, Will ship as soon as in stock". They just are not listed.
I'm sure it is good for the "little guy" that probably has inventory to sell, but let's just say Provo Craft decides not to sell to any other store from here on in. The price may sky rocket. I don't want to cause a panic, but I am curious as to whether or not any one else has seen this, or if you have found them in your local stores. I have not been able to find them in stores here in Minnesota come to think of it. WalMart, JoAnn, Target. I look each time I shop, for pricing and availability. I guess I shrugged it off because I still had the ones from Amazon.
Interesting, very interesting.

You can buy them at Walmart, Michaels and Fred Meyer in my area. I have not ordered them online before.

Buy the Pazzles mats. They last longer. You do have to cut about 1/4 of an inch off the sides of the mat. I like them much better.

FYI...There was a problem at production of the 12 x 12 mats, and there was a big backorder. It took over two months, but I have now been able to find them at our local Wal-Marts... two mats for $12.00. I bought a package and split it with a friend of mine! LOL

They sell them at Pat Catan stores. I was there this morning and they have a bunch in stock.

Whew!! So glad to see that there are places still out there that have them! I still am curious though why, WalMart, Target, KMart and Amazon don't list them?
Pat Canton Stores, never heard of them. Small chain where you live? Is there a website? I live in a rural community, the web is where I find most of my stuff.
Thanks for the link to Custom Crops. Everything under one web site listed there, and then some. I like one-stop shops. I really don't like price checking, although I have to do it, but it is nice to know there is someone out there that has it all. I booked marked that site.
What are Pazzles mats, and where do I find them, and why do you like them better?
Thanks all
