V. 2.011D and layers

Those who have 2.011D, how do you know you have it? When I go into Help, and then About I have v. 2.011. I just downloaded today, March 21. But I was not given a choice. Only one option that being v. 2.011.

Layers any one having problems with them? I can't get the layers window to pop up.

I imported an Inkscape file for a word book that I created and now there are no layers or layers window. Am I doing something wrong? Are there steps that I need to take to get the layers window to open?

Not sure if there is a problem with the d version, but there is a command under the windows menu to open the layers palette. You can also get to it from windows>worskpace>advanced

Thank you, I did have to go to Advanced in order for it to open.
