I haven't received my Expressions yet so I can't test anything...but I have bought and installed the SCAL software and just wanted to be ready for when it finally gets here

More than likely, you will have to update the firmware to 2.1 and it is advisable to use the original version of DSS to do that. The versions with the updates have created problems for the software. Check craftedge.com to see if they have a link to the original DSS software.
