Cutting Layers SCAL 2

Hi Can someone please tell me how I can cut layers ..... Someone did a scal for me and it has 2 layers and I have never done anything with layers and need to cut these asap.... in 2 diff colours... thanks Tammy

HI Tammy

In SCAL 2 when you bring in a SVG with layers you can turn one off and cut the other layer.
To do this you need to access the layer panel. If you can not see it press the CTRL and 1 button at the same time. It should appear as per the image I have attached to this post.

Click on the little eyes along side the layers will turn them off and on.
Turn off one layer and cut the one visible on the mat.
Once cut do the same for the other layer.

Open the software and click on "WINDOW" on the top tool bar. When that pops open, click on "WORKSPACE" tab And when that window pops open, click on "ADVANCED" tab. You should see all the SCAL tool windows on the screen including the Layers tool window. You can rearrange and/or resize the tool bar windows and workspace to fit your needs and save it. You can save a workspace by clicking on the "save workspace" tab that is located a few spaces below the "Advanced" tab.

I too could not get my layers tool bar to pop up a few weeks ago and this is what I did. Hope it works for you too.
