Success with Inkscape--so happy

Post by NELS »

I have to share my first real success using Inkscape. I have a book and CD with clipart silhouettes I was able to take a gif and get it into Inkscape and then after following the tutorials given by so many wonder people, this is what I traced and got into SCAL. See I can't quit using SCAL. 2 days to go until departure on our vacation.. Thanks for looking. I don't know if I can share this design. MY book says permission free designs but it is copyrighted too..

That is excellent.

I know how it is when you are supposed to be getting ready for a trip and you really want to play. I had to pack my clothes at 2:00am for a 9 am flight...playing around on the computer and simply forgot everything else...do a little...play a little.

Well, you know I am still trying to figure out how I can bring my Cricut to work and cut (I'm the front desk receptionist at a law firm)...so you know I play a lot...but we are trying to keep NELS focused...she has to prepare for a trip.

That is so cute, what book did you get it from?? I'm going to have to start buying the Dover books that have clipart to use. They have a lot of great graphics that are free to use.

I had a lot of those books but tossed them when I moved from the house to an apt. You know most of that stuff is on clip art packages now. I must have had about 35 books...have been in graphics since the '80s.
