I bought this set - http://www.letteringdelights.com/clipar ... -8732.html - from Lettering Delights. I downloaded the graphics, and they are .png files. I have tried to convert these to .svg using Inkscape, but cannot get it to work out. I have followed the directions on Clever Someday, I have watched several tutorials, I just can't figure it out. I love this set, and would love to get it to work on my Cricut. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Just a suggestion, go to Scrappingtable.com you can get any lettering or dingbats free, and I love Michelle so much, she has answered probably a million questions for me.
I have one other quick question. When I import an image into Inkscape, it is larger than the mat. When I grab a corner arrow and drag it to make it smaller, the image also changes in height/width. I don't know if that makes sense, but the word I am looking for is escaping me right now. I tried to "lock" the image, but that doesn't work. I know in SCAL2 there is a box you check that keeps the proportions the same when you want to adjust the size of the image. Is there something similar on Inkscape?
Thank you all again for all of your help!I have got the conversion thing down!!
Chris,
In Inkscape, if you hold down the control key while you drag the corner, your image will stay in proportion. Alternately, you can click the lock button at the top of the screen between the w and h boxes, then type in a new value for w or h and the other one will adjust accordingly. That lock will also keep it proportioned when using the corner handles but not the side ones.
