center the cut?

Post by Carriekap »

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if it's possible to center your cut on your paper the way you can when you use a cartridge. I know you can center the image on the mat, but what if you've printed something on a piece of cardstock and you want the text to be centered in the cut you're going to make? Is there a way to do this with SCAL 2 (Mac)? Is there anything better than just trial and error?

I'd really appreciate any help on this. Being able to do this would free me up a lot!

Thanks,

Carrie

The hinge technique an be used instead of center cut and is more accurate and works on any shape.
This video shows you how to do it with just the machine, but it is easier with SCAL because you don't have to use the arrow keys, just cut again and SCAL will put the image in the same place.
