script font and weld/convert
What do I do in SCAL 2.010 to get script letters in a font where each letter touches the next? Prior to upgrading, I would just cut and it would weld automatically because clicking weld meant it would not actually cut. However, in SCAL 2.010, I'm not sure what to do. I did get it to work once, but have not been able to get it to work again. So I'm assuming it's either weld or Convert font to outline but not both. Help!

use you offset box in text... What I do after I type the word is use my offset button under text.. but uncheck weld first.. Type the word../offset the letters to where they are to the point of touching.. click back onto the arrow on your menu bar.. and then click on the weld box so it's checked.. Just click preview to make sure the areas are showing gray that you don't want cut..

I did not explain myself very well. The font is one where when you type the letters automatically overlap each other just a tad. However, when it cuts, it is cutting the letters on the joining line. So that they are individual letters. Since it's for a vinyl cut, I'm hoping I can eliminate the cut in between each letter. Will your instructions still work?

I have been having the same problem! I just tried cutting a word and it welded everything except for the last letter. It is so frustrating and I don't know how to fix it! This started happening ever since I upgraded to 2.10
