MINI MILK CARTON

Post by StampaLady »

Aloha,

Does anyone have a cutfile for a mini milk carton just like the SU die? My sister in law is asked me to make retirement favors for her husband and thinking of using the mini milk carton but don't want to buy the SU die.

Thank you very much :)

I am relatively new to SCAL 2.0. I tried to cut the file on Heather's blog and used the multi-layered to try to get the score marks. It didn't work for me. It cut the lines out completely. Can anyone help me figure out how to cut a layered SVG in SCAL 2.0. I saw a function on there for multi-layers, but I am not sure how to use it. Thanks.

Go back and check Heather' Blog. I think she turns an old blade upside down on her Cricut and this only puts marks on the paper for folding.

You need to use either the back end of the blade (non-cutting end), or reduce the pressure/blade depth until the paper is just barely cut for the score lines. It's also very important that you don't unload the mat between cuts. If you are changing the blade, press Load paper to bring the carriage to the edge of the mat. If you are just changing depth/pressure it isn't really necessary to do this, but it makes it less likely to nudge the carriage out of place.

I have a tutorial with a little on SCAL2 layers here.

Not sure if you decided to go with the milk carton - I have a cute little house that makes a great favor on my blog. It holds about 12 hershey kisses.

I have a file on my site, paperpastime.com. You need to use the layers for mine as well. Look under videos, the one titled pillowbox explanation, explains how to use the layers.
