Wondering about making T-shirts

I hope I am posting this in the right place.

I am going to be making 20+ T-shorts for our family. I have my designs all created, the shirts bought. Now all I need is the paint. I am looking for black, and I was told to use acrylic paint mixed with a medium. I bought the medium, but am having a hard time finding the paint. All I can find is 2 oz bottles. Does anyone know where I could find larger quantities, or any other type of paint I could use? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated

Hi! I also made about 18 shirts for my sons bday. I used just the regular fabric paint that they have @ M's. It's pretty inexpensive and if you use a brush and do 2 coats it comes out very good. I will try to pos pics of the shirts I made in my blog for you to see. I learned this technique from Monique, there is a link for her blog at mine. You can buy the acrylic paints in the large tubes in the art section at Michaels.. The thing I like about the medium is you can convert any paint to a fabric paint...

Okay. I have to ask. What do making t-shirts, paint and SCAL have to do with one another??? I know there is a magic connection. Someone give me yet ANOTHER project to take on!!!!

Maybe they are going to cut out vinyl and use it as a stencil, and paint the shirts? I dunno?

Lots of creative cricut opportunities outside of just paper cutting... people use wax or contact paper and cut out fancy schmancy designs from SCAL and stick them on their shirts as stencils and paint them-- easy, cheap, and you can really make impressive stuff!!

I've been meaning to try it with freezer paper - it clings really well when ironed waxy side down.

My 13yo dd made a video about the freezer paper method. She uses a cartridge image in the video, but it's even easier in SCAL because you can reverse the image easily if you have text in your design.

Well, I would have never guessed about the freezer paper. I have seen heat set vinyl, so I assumed that is what people were doing until I saw the word "paint". My daughter and I watched the YouTube video that Kay posted and I could see the wheels turning in her head! Thanks again for yet another idea!! You guys rock!
